Yarnbombing for the Whimsy of it
The top row of photos lets you see what the blossoms of the magnolia tree look like. They are very large and make a big mess when they fall off. But in the meantime they are gorgeous on the tree.
The second row of photos should give you a better idea of what the yarnbomb is like. I knit the pieces flat and then they are wrapped around the trunk and whip stitched into place.
The last photo is the previous yarnbomb I made for this tree. It went up in the pandemic and was on the tree for nearly two years. It eventually got trashed by some mama squirrels who were nesting and needed soft things.
