My One Beautiful Thing of 2025

My experiences on the Isle of Iona this summer were many and rich. It is impossible to pick a favorite. And yet, the songs I sang are still ringing in my head and sounding in my heart. So this is what I will pick as my one beautiful thing for 2025: sounds of worship, music from Scotland I got to sing in the Abbey and chapel.

Singing the Gloria during music week at the Abbey never got old, we sang is and the end of most every service all week long. Mmm

This Celtic chant hinted at the tunes from the movie Frozen for me. It made my Norwegian self happy even if it’s a Scottish thing.

Kelly Ann’s clear voice at the beginning of this song of peace brings such fond memories. She lead weeks of good singing.

Quiet songs settle my heart when I need a little peace. I am so lucky to have these rolling around in my head. Mmmmm
