What is an aubgerine? Eggplant. I’m a big fan. I like calling it aborigine partly because I love that color name.
What do you call the tools in the photo? In America I use the same name for all the tools: a spatula. However here the metal one is called a fish slice?! What the what? I looked it up and here’s the wikipedia linkie dinks: fish slice vs. spatula. PS in the Bogart household Rod’s family used to call the spatula a kid cheater because when you scrap a bowl using a spatula there is nothing left for a kiddo to lick out of the bowl!
What could this be? Is it (A) Butter, (B) Marzipan, or (C) Cheddar Cheese? The other day I was making an apple crumble and Anja had me add a layer of marzipan! Yum, yes please. I’ve never seen it like this! I grated it and put it on the apples before adding the crumble topping. To be fair, butter made a big appearance in this dessert as well. And come to think of it a slice of cheddar cheese on top would be lovely. Win win win. Full credit for any answer you chose. teehee.
