If you are a knitter you should visit this site. Guideposts Knit for
Kids is a project that has pushed me into action. I knit sweaters
for them. I enjoy knitting but I never liked making scarves even though
they are all the rage. I also am not very good at making a sweater
to fit a particular person. My son's first sweater was too short and
the arms on the first sweater I made for myself were too long. So
now I am making sweaters I know will fit, there is a child out there
who is just the right size for the sweater on my needles.

I received refreshment from Women at the Well. This is an organization
that provides a safe and quiet place for women to meet God. I am
not one to keep quiet and so it was a surprise to find silence and
solitude such a huge help in settling my mind and calming my heart.
I went on retreat at a happy time and a sad time and each time come
away a little closer to God. If you yearn for a quiet place to gently
reconnect with God take a look here.

I have been a subscriber to the Upper Room Daily Devotional for
years. I read it every day. This magazine was the spark for my devotion
writing. I like to read the paper version but you may enjoy checking
in online. In the March April issue of 2006 I will have a devotion
featured.

In 2003 I became a Weight Watchers Lifetime Member. One of the things
that made my journey easier was checking in for the recipe of the
day. They were fun to collect. Each day I anticipated checking in,
would there be a sweet treat or a dinner idea I could use? I now
have a binder full of recipes I use often. I also enjoy reading
the success stories; I'm a sucker for before and after photos.
