God's Last Laugh
God is chucking at my navite. I fret while He fixes.
Getting ready for the school year to begin, my work schedule had a major conflict. I work five days a week at an elementary school. I belong to a writing group with monthly meetings during school hours. I don’t have the discretionary time to leave school in favor of writing. I am currently working on a book for publication, the writing group is essential. The book is very much a “God Thing” both in content and the desire of my heart to produce for Him. I spent a significant amount to time trying to figure out this mess. Yeah I prayed about it but God was mute.
Today was the August writing meeting, last chance before school starts. We all pulled out our calendars to mark down the next meetings dates. I told the group of my troubles. Schedules parted like the Red Sea and fell into place. Of the next eight meeting times, five are on days I am not in school. Two other times I’ll be able to take a day off to attend. It was so easy, I laughed. God smiled, He knew something else:
You thought the schedule was the hard part? Try getting all your writing work done. I’ve arranged the time now you write for me.
I will with pleasure. I am so well cared for.
Let God have the last laugh in your life, He sees the big picture. What worry are you carrying He can fix in a snap? Are you focused on a spot He already has under control? I was. Trust you are well cared for too.
