Wireless Connection
Not once, not twice but three times a cell call was interrupted. I don’t own a cell phone (last person in America who’s not a use, I know) so my landline was not at fault. Three separate calls from three lovely ladies I enjoy talking to, I was bummed.
“The reception here is bad.”
“ I may go out because I’m e leaving the area.”
“The batteries on the phone are low.”
Ah technology, you gotta love it. Today I didn’t. Today I wanted a nice chat. I wanted a connection.
Thinking of the cellular connection I did take a moment to marvel, each gal called from her car! It’s amazing when you stop to think of it. I’m keeping in touch with women I might otherwise loose. Still I cursed our wireless connection, it was tenuous, so easily broken.
I’ve got one wireless connection I can always count on. There is never static on the line. I never go out of the calling area. And there are no batteries. You know what’s coming . . . it’s my prayer connection to God. You could argue I’ve never actually heard God’s voice, sometimes he’s hard to understand and sometimes he doesn’t pick up right away. But I know he is there. I am certain. I take faith he receives every call; he’s aware of my very thoughts. This connection is far removed from anything technology can dream up. God has taken up residence in my heart. Now that is really something to marvel over.
